Tax Cut for the Wealthy to Increase Defiit by $1.4 Trillion

And Craven, Cowardly Corker to Vote for It

Early on in the so-called debate on the tax cut Sen. Bob Corker (R., Tn) said he would not vote for it if it increased the deficit.  Now the final bill is out and here are the numbers.

"The preliminary deficit estimate for the final version of the GOP tax bill says it would add $1.46 trillion to the budget deficit over the coming 10 years.
The true deficit cost is likely to be even higher if lawmakers extend the tax cuts for individuals before they expire at the end of 2025. This "sunset" gimmick is used to make the tax cuts more generous over the eight years they would be in force."

As for Sen. Corker, well his vote is yes, because he wants to make sure that everyone, and we do mean everyone knows that when a Republican says something you cannot take it to the bank because they are not bankable, they are bankrupt.  Corker is retiring, good riddance, and it is painful to say but maybe the Senate would be better if he was replaced by Roy Moore.  At least Moore says what he thinks, he doesn't try to hide his awful positions behind pious lies.
