An Illustration of the Qualifications (Or Lack Thereof) Of South Carolina’s Soon to be New Senator Tim Scott

Not Just Clueless, But Admittedly Clueless

South Carolina Republican Jim DeMint did the country a great service earlier this month by resigning from the Senate to take a plus job with a partisan think tank.  His replacement will be Representative Tim Scott who is currently serving out his term in the House.

The House of Representatives just decided not to approve a Republican plan that would have allowed the Bush era tax cuts to remain for everyone making less than $1 million a year, because, horror upon horror, it would have raised taxes on those making more than $ 1 million a year.  Here is how Representative Scott reacted.

On his way to pay his respects to Inouye, Rep. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) said he had “no clue” what was happening with Plan B. Asked whether he planned to vote for it, he said again: “I have no clue.”

Ah yes, the mantra of a South Carolina Republican, a phrase that always fits, “I have no clue”.
